"Lost Creek Ranch isn't just a place to board my horse. Chanel, Olivia, and the rest of the family who own and operate the ranch really care about what is best for me and my older horse. She hadn't been ridden for many years and it was even longer since I had ridden. Chanel helped both of us make the adjustment back to riding with lessons starting right where we were and giving me confidence to be her leader while still loving that old mare to pieces and back. I can't thank Lost Creek Ranch enough."
"Lost Creek is our family's happy place. It's not only where we've learned to ride, it's where we've learned the true meaning of horsemanship. I love that my kids are responsible for grooming and tacking the horses, instead of just showing up to ride. They are learning life lessons about hard work and caring for the land and animals and they are doing so in an environment that is kind and fun and encouraging. I've been to a number of barns both locally and in other parts of the state, and to find somewhere that is as community oriented and supportive is rare. We are so grateful for the time and energy that the Olson family dedicates to keeping Lost Creek Ranch a vibrant part of the valley!"
"Lost Creek Ranch lets me travel without a care in the world, knowing my horses have eyes on them and daily evaluation by regular horse people! My mares love their 24/7 hay access and a dry place to come in for their grain. Chanel, Olivia, Dusty, and Ashby are friendly and very active around the barn! Though my daughter and I do our own thing most of the time, Chanel is always working with students, young and old, in lessons and clinics. We love that we are close to local trails and have plenty to choose from. Chanel is always open to questions and concerns about any horses. I have been to a few barns in the Flathead and we love it here!"
"My children have been riding here for over five years and I highly recommend it! I love that Chanel teaches them not only riding skills, but how to take care of a horse and the responsibilities that come with horse ownership. Chanel has created a welcoming, SAFE, and fun barn for students to learn as much as they want to learn!" -Allison Rennie
"Chanel is a top notch trainer. My daughter has been riding at Lost Creek Ranch for almost three years now. Her progression in English Riding and Jumping has been phenomenal. The lessons, chore work, horsemanship, lease options, camps, etc is all part of it and we are so lucky to have found this program." -Valerie Thrasher
"I've been working with Chanel since I was 5 years old. Her approach is perfect for me! She is encouraging, caring and funny! She lets me work at my own pace which helped me build a lot of confidence. Her horses have been great, too! As I grow she lets me ride different horses. Now at the age of 12 I bring my own horse and she works with me and Sanman. I have learned so much at horsemanship events and made lots of new friends! We get to learn about horses, how to care for them, wash them, and we even get to paint them & braid their hair! In the summer we have fun riding in the outdoor arena. I would recommend Chanel to anyone and she does an especially good job with beginning riders!" -Maleah Erickson
"We feel extremely blessed to have found Chanel as a horse trainer. Our daughter had started with pony club at a young age, and had taken lessons at several barns, but her improvement with Chanel has outmatched any other experience in the valley. Chanel trains with a positive style, yet challenges every student. She is a very supportive and dedicated trainer always conscious of and working with students individual needs. I haven't seen any other training facility in the valley that offers more time to be with a horse through lessons, camps, horsemanship, and a points incentive system. The horses at Lost Creek are in fact the friendliest horses I have met, and I attribute that to their blessed life at Lost Creek. Each horse enjoys their job, and Chanel is extremely dedicated to meeting their needs. I would recommend Lost Creek to any beginner, intermediate, or experienced rider looking to start, build, or solidify their fundamental skills and form, but also to have a lot of fun enjoying equestrian sports." -Jennifer Griffith
"We have been bringing our girls to the ranch for lessons and horsemanship and Chanel is so beyond amazing. She makes the girls feel welcome and included even when at first they had no idea what they were doing. I’m so glad we found this place as it makes our youngest daughter light up with such joy. It’s affordable which as a mom of 4 makes this dream become a reality for my daughter. Thank you Chanel for sharing a glimmer of your wisdom with these kids, your making a difference in this world getting these kiddos out and in the fresh air, we love it!" -Sam McIlhargey
