Horse Training

Helping horse and human work together. A lot of people are frustrated with the lack of knowledge and understanding of horses and their behavior. I continue to learn and better my own horsemanship and in turn help others on their equine journeys with a quiet and easy going approach.
We start a relationship and build a partnership. What we are doing today is developing your horse’s ability to learn. We focus on a solid foundation aiming for a well-minded, willing horse. We work towards getting our horses to be soft, safe, and responsive. Horses need to go through basic education first, learning to be respectful and willing. They need to be safe on the ground and under saddle, need to load in the trailer, stand tied, and have the basics under saddle (walk, trot, canter, stop, back, turn, etc.). Once they learn the basics then they can go onto learning special skills and disciplines such as dressage, jumping, western pleasure, reining, barrel racing, etc.
All training programs include working with the owner as much as needed. I allow for owners to come out and watch me work with their horse and be hands on as well- after all they are your horse and you will need to be able to continue working with them.
We use a combination of different training techniques. Every horse is different and we don't train every horse the same as another. We have experience with many different breeds and types of horses. Each horse gets individualized training. We will customize a program that fits you and your horse's needs. We limit the number of training horses we take in as this ensures your horse receives the time and attention they deserve. Horses in full training are generally worked with 5-6 days a week with 1-2 days left alone to just rest- both physically and mentally.
